Vasikkahaka is a cottage that was originally part of Ylä-Väkkärä Farm. The cottage was fully renovated in 2000. The cottage is situated in Suomenniemi beside the small and peaceful Lake Härkäjärvi and surrounded by forests.

Vasikkahaka (83 m²) has two bedrooms, a spacious living room, a kitchenette, a WC/shower and a wood-heated sauna.

The shallow shore is ideal for even the smallest swimmers. Rowing on the lake is idyllic, as there are no motorboats on Härkäjärvi. Pets are welcome at Vasikkahaka.

Services and activities:
Your host Pekka makes cross-country skiing trails across the fields and over the lake in wintertime. The nearby lean-to is perfect for hikers in summertime and wintertime. The surrounding forests are filled with berries and mushrooms.  Lake Härkäjärvi is not the best for fishing, but the excellent fishing waters at Kuolimo are just 4 kilometres away - you can join a fishing expedition with a local company. The minimum rental period from Midsummer to the end of August and during New Year's is 1 week, arriving after 4pm on Saturday and departing before 12noon on the following Saturday.
