Kimpilä is a holiday cottage on the island of Laamalansaari in Suomenniemi, Lake Saimaa. The cottage is owned by our co-operation partner Mr. Kimpy Khvat and was built in 2008. Mr. Khvat lives in London, and he has asked Loma-Väkkärä to rent out his cottage whenever he is not there. The cottage is situated in a quiet location in the heart of Lake Saimaa, far away from any neighbours. The cottage comes with its own rowing boat.

Kimpilä is decorated in a nautical theme and has two bedrooms, a kitchen/living room, a wood-heated sauna, a bathroom, a changing room and 2 WCs. The cottage has a good layout and covers 66 m2 indoors plus 16 m2 on the terrace. Amenities include a washing machine and dryer for clothes, making the cottage ideal for families with children. The kitchen/living room has a fireplace, and firewood is included in the rent.

Kimpilä has a shallow shore that is suitable for adults and children alike. The cottage is also suitable for guests with allergies, as pets are not allowed.

Services and activities:
The location on Lake Saimaa offers excellent opportunities for fishing, and fishing permits can be provided for enthusiastic anglers. A fishing guide is also available for longer boating and fishing expeditions. The surrounding nature is ideal for picking berries and mushrooms.

Kimpilä is situated 343 kilometres from Helsinki, 72 kilometres from Lappeenranta and 60 kilometres from Mikkeli.

The minimum rental period from Midsummer to the end of August and during New Year's is 1 week, arriving after 4pm on Saturday and departing before 12noon on the following Saturday.
