Loma-Väkkärä has the pleasure of offering you also a lakeside cottage owned by the Hujala family. Situated on the island of Laamalansaari in Lake Saimaa, the cottage is ideal for families with children. There are large lawns for playing on, and the shore is shallow and sandy. The cottage is also suitable for persons with restricted mobility, as the yard is very flat and there is only one step up to the front door. Your host Maija Hujala is famous for her delicious homemade rye bread, which she is happy to sell also to her guests. In summertime new potatoes are also available from the farm.

The log cabin has one bedroom downstairs and a large space upstairs with one double bed, one 120 cm bed and one single bed.  The WC and shower are together and accessed from the terrace. There is a large wood-heated sauna. The kitchen/living room is fitted with a Nunnauuni fireplace-oven. Firewood is included in the rent. The cottage is suitable for guests with allergies, as pets are not allowed.

Services and activities:
A rowing boat is provided for rowing on Lake Saimaa. There is also a boat launch nearby if you bring your own boat (a small fee is charged). Notify the number of life vests you require when making your reservation, and we will bring them to the cottage. Berries and mushrooms can be picked in the forests surrounding the cottage. In wintertime there is a cross-country skiing trail around the island of Houtonsaari (weather permitting).

The minimum rental period from Midsummer to the end of August and during New Year's is 1 week, arriving after 4pm on Saturday and departing before 12noon on the following Saturday.
